WOMEN'S MINISTRIES.

Our year started off in January, 2006 with mostly a new executive, and some who had served previously.

Lorena Kehler, Secretary; Pat Dickie, Treasurer; Eileen Weber, Past-President.

Ann Gerbrandt (2nd year) & Erla Friesen, Advisors.

Our focus this year will be to continue to build friendships and get to know each other better. We are accomplishing this goal by working together to plan and arrange our meetings with the needs and interests of our church ladies in mind.

We meet as a large group at least four times a year for a special event at the church.

Working together is a great way to build life-long relationships, learn to pray for one another, bear one another’s burdens and build up one another.

As these relationships are established, we are better equipped to provide support in time of crisis, change and stress, and a sense of security and stability knowing that there are people who really care about you.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Women’s Ministries take care of several areas of ministry in our church:

Hosting Bridal & Baby Showers

Prayer Chain Requests

Delivery of Meals-on-Wheels in July

Greeting Cards to the Missionaries

Decorating the church for the four seasons of the year

Stocking kitchen items for our Missionaries on home assignment

Hosting a birthday party in Sept. for senior shut-ins

Providing meals to new mothers home from hospital, those hospitalized, as well as family after a bereavement

A Bible study is held the first and third Tuesdays of the month from fall through spring
